Effective May 1, 2026, the funding rates for the EURP and the two national reintegration programs, NRP SYR and NRP AFG, will be adjusted.

The approval of the case by Frontex as of May 4, 2026, will determine the applicable rate under the EURP. Please note that the deadlines for organizing reintegration assistance under short-term support (“direct needs upon arrival”) must be maintained.

Features and requirements of the new medical package (“MEDP”) in EURP and NRP:
• Can be applied for independently of or in addition to short-term and long-term support, using the same application form
• A medical certificate from an EU physician with a precise ICD-10-WHO (or higher) classification for an illness diagnosed prior to departure must be uploaded under “additional documents” when submitting the application in RIAT, and the ICD classification must be entered in the corresponding field in RIAT.
• Medical information is limited to the necessary minimum and will be treated as confidential.
• Costs up to 490 EUR per person are eligible for funding under the MEDP if they relate directly to the illness diagnosed in the medical certificate and corresponding proof of expenditure is uploaded to RIAT.
• Available immediately upon arrival and up to 12 months after departure
• Note: Individuals classified as MEDA (Medical Assistance) cases under the REAG-GARP program and receiving support through the PAMA (Post-Arrival Medical Assistance) project are not eligible for additional support under the MEDP from EURP and NRP. Therefore, please always indicate in RIAT whether medical assistance has already been requested under REAG-GARP.
