Destination Country Colombia: NEW – Minimum Stay in the EU

Under the new Frontex criterion, returnees to Colombia who have resided in the EU for at least one year — including six months of tolerated stay in Germany — may apply for both short-term and long-term support.

For all other visa-exempt countries, support remains available only for persons granted long-term temporary residence (temporary residence period of at least two years).

Support for Vulnerable Persons Returning to Visa-Exempt Countries

Additionally, a new provision applies to Colombia and all other visa-liberalized countries: persons with identified vulnerabilities are now eligible for support, even if they have not been granted minimum or long-term temporary residence.
