Information on the ZIRF-Counselling project and the content of the training:

1. Training on the ZIRF counseling project:

With the help of the individual inquiries component, counseling centers can have IOM research individual and specific information in the respective countries of origin. For example, the ZIRF counseling project team provides you with individual information on available medications or opportunities for starting a business. You can then incorporate this detailed information into your counseling sessions.

We will also inform you about the country information sheets and their contents.

Learning objectives:
• Components of ZIRF Counseling and their added value in counseling work
• Submitting individual requests in the online application module (OAM)
• ZIRF database and its use
• Country information sheets and their contents

2. Training: Protection needs during the return and reintegration of unaccompanied minors

When unaccompanied minors return voluntarily, special steps must be taken to ensure their protection. In accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, this includes, for example, determining the best interests of the child. The IOM can support you in this process by assessing the family situation on site, known as a family assessment. This training course will teach you which steps and documents are necessary.

Learning objectives:
• Determining the best interests of the child in the context of voluntary return
• Documents required for the voluntary return of unaccompanied minors
• Applying for a family assessment in the online application module (OAM).

The training courses are offered via ZOOM and are free of charge for all participants.
