Last year, the federal and state governments jointly decided to temporarily adjust the eligibility criteria and amounts for departures to Turkey. This adjustment affected people who had been in Germany for less than six months and wanted to return to Turkey voluntarily. This temporary measure is now due to expire on 30 June 2025.

This means that from 01.07.2025, the above-mentioned persons can also receive the regular REAG/GARP funding benefits including GARP assistance (1st start-up aid) and reintegration support via StarthilfePlus (2nd start-up aid) or the European Reintegration Programme (EURP) for submitted REAG/GARP applications.

The provisions of the REAG/GARP funding programme (point 2.4.3 in conjunction with point 4.2.2) apply to persons for whom there are reasonable grounds to suspect improper use of funding benefits.
